The Helena Education Foundation is in its seventh year of enhancing the public education of students and teachers in Montana's capital city. HEF sponsors a wide array of community and school events annually: the Celebration of Excellence, Hot Topics in Science, Vigilante Academy, Trading Places, Great Conversations, Fabulous Firsts and Carnival Classic.

In addition to these programs, HEF funds Great Ideas Grants twice a year. These grants enable our public school teachers to provide outstanding opportunities for our kids and students. Through these grants, HEF has awarded more than $275,000, enhancing the education and experience of virtually all of Helena’s 8,000 students.

Our mission is to enrich education in the Helena Public Schools through the consistent community investment of time, talent, funding and other resources, and to provide students, staff and our community with unparalleled educational opportunities and experiences.
