About the Harrison Writing Awards

The Harrison Writing Awards include up to four $250 awards given annually by the Helena Education Foundation in the categories of either expository or creative writing, recognizing the highest quality among the submissions.  Email your work to penandinkhelena@gmail.com.

2020 Information

All written submissions to Pen & Ink are eligible for the Harrison Writing Award. Send

submissions to penandinkhelena@gmail.com by Friday, February 14.

To be eligible, you must be a high school student in the district and follow these guidelines:

  • Submit name and school in subject line.
  • Writers: 12 point font, double-spaced, 5 pages maximum.
  • Artists: 5 submissions/artist in .jpg or .pdf format.
