    About the Great Teachers Program

The Helena Education Foundation’s “Let’s Talk about Great Teachers” Awards began in 2007 and are sponsored by Dr. Timothy Ballweber as part of Great Conversations.

Dr. Ballweber wanted to join HEF to find a way to honor more teachers more often for the work they do in schools every day.

Educators selected for this honor meet one or more of the following criteria:

    • Commitment to HEF programs and goals
    • Demonstrated above and beyond commitment to students
    • Demonstrated commitment to teaching outside the usual classroom routine and day
