Capital High School senior Isabella Clinch was determined enough to take a third creative writing class from Debra Dorrance that she signed up for summer classes just to free up a class period during the school year. This fall, Clinch plans to attend the University of Montana to study creative writing. “I probably wouldn’t be into creative writing if I hadn’t taken her class,” Clinch said. Clinch and Dorrance were one pair of 49 distinguished students and educators who spent an evening dining and visiting at the Helena Education Foundation’s Celebration of Excellence on Monday.
