Talk about a Great Educator!

C.R. Anderson music teacher Kevin Cleary was caught off guard as he instructed a classroom full of middle school orchestra students Monday afternoon. Fortunately, the surprise was a pleasant one.

Lisa Cordingley, executive director of the Helena Education Foundation, made a surprise visit to present Cleary with a “Let’s Talk About Great Teachers” award. Cordingley said Cleary stands out by continuously applying for and receiving grants for the school district and his working on “The MET: HD Live in Schools” program, which allows local students to see The MET Opera performances in the movie theater and travel to New York City for live performances.
